The new Day Care Centre will provide Medical Day Care and Surgical Day Care treatment, recovery and observation facilities for patients who do not need to be admitted, to ease the congestion of the main hospital. The services provided are Medical Day Care for diagnostic procedures, blood transfusions, cytotoxic treatment, dermatology, as well as subspecialties services development in the future. Whereas, Surgical Day Care will provide endoscopic, laparoscopic procedures, surgical procedures, anaesthesia, recovery and observations.

The new Pathology Department will replace the existing Laboratory building and will be the referral laboratory for the whole of Sarawak state. The department will provide routine emergency and 24 hours services for Chemical Pathology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, Molecular Diagnostic Microbiology, Haematology, Transfusion Service, Drugs/Toxicology as well as Special Technology and Research.
