The Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project is a project by the Government of Bangladesh together with partner-NGOs and development banks/partners to address the healthcare issues resulting from the high and growing number of population migrating to and living in urban areas of Bangladesh, which is now the 8th most populous country in the world.

The project aims to provide sustainable quality urban primary health care (PHC) services that target the poor and the needs of women and children. The design of the three major outputs of the project intends to: (i) Strengthen institutional governance and local government capacity to sustainably deliver urban PHC services; (ii) Improve accessibility, quality, and utilisation of urban PHC services with a focus on the poor, women, and children, through PPP; and (iii) Provide effective support for decentralised project management.

Provide project design and implementation support during the bridging phase of the ongoing Urban Primary Health Care Delivery Project (UPHCSDP) and the additional financing. Evaluated implementation of three phases of the Project especially the ongoing phase to identify needs in terms of quality of health care, financial management, PPP model, information technology use, health facility infrastructure requirements, pro-poor targeting, measures of monitoring and evaluating performance-based contracting and indicators thereof, procurement practices, and economic and financial analysis, as well as climate change and its implication on health infrastructure and operations. Responsible for project design development – conduct stakeholder consultations, prepare due diligence documents. Undertake project management activities – liaise with and manage expectations of stakeholders, coordinate outputs of the team, manage deliverable milestones and QA of deliverables.

Due diligence deliverables include: Health Sector Assessment Report, Institutional Capacity Assessment Report, Financial Management Assessment Report, Procurement Risk Assessment Report, Financial Analysis, Economic Analysis, Climate Change Report and Proposal, Project Administration Manual, inputs for Report and Recommendation of the President.
