This project built on previous Asian Development Bank (ADB) health sector development initiatives to further advance reforms within Mongolia’s health system. It focused on complementing hospital rationalization efforts by improving the quality of hospital services, thereby enabling more effective care and reducing resistance to ongoing reforms. The project aimed to strengthen safe blood transfusion, medical waste management and hospital infection prevention and control.
