The original Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital was established in the 1950s as an army base camp and later repurposed as a rehabilitation hospital. In response to rapid advancements in information and medical technologies, as well as the growing demand for high-quality healthcare services, a new state-of-the-art military hospital was conceptualized in 2001. The new Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital, with a total floor area of 60,000 m² and a capacity of 282 beds, was designed to serve as a modern, computerized central military healthcare facility. Envisioned as a centre of excellence, it aims to provide comprehensive and specialized medical care for military personnel and their families as well as the general population.
