Dieter was born in Austria and has been working and living in Malaysia since the late 1980s. He has a background in engineering and economics and over 30 years of experience in international healthcare consulting. His collaborative and practical approach makes him well respected and received by clients and business partners.
Dieter is actively involved in a wide area of international consulting activities, including feasibility studies, financial planning and procurement management and he is one of the foremost authorities in health systems analysis for developing countries. His ability to recognise and develop talents combined with the commitment and passion for his work are cornerstones of Mediconsult’s development.
Nick has resided in Malaysia since 1975 and he has ensured the steady development of Mediconsult in the local market. He is a well-known corporate figure with an extensive experience in corporate finance.
Nick has served as a board member in a number of companies listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. He is currently a director of an investment committee that manages more than US$700 million for a unit trust fund company. Nick’s strength lies in his ability to anticipate the market demand and the talent to forge established networks. His leadership and business strategy has resulted in the continuous development of Mediconsult.
KALAMHAMIDI ABU BAKAR

Kalamhamidi obtained Hons. in Social Science (Management) for his undergraduate studies; and post graduate studies in Hospital Administration, MPC International, Texas, USA and Hospital Management and Administration, Irish Institute of Hospital Administration, Dublin. His expertise is in the area of feasibility studies and business plan for hospital sector. He is responsible for hospital operational including manpower planning, supervision and budgeting. Advise on SYARIE standards; review/develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all areas of hospital operation. As well as advise on Medical By Laws, rules and regulation. His working experience covers Southeast Asia countries.
AR. CAROLINE SIM YII HUI, LAM PAM
SENIOR PRINCIPAL - HEALTH FACILITY PLANNING
Caroline began her architectural career in Malaysia and subsequently Singapore and Ireland, working on a wide range of projects. Her interest in health facilities design was piqued during her 3 year with O’Connell Mahon Architects in Dublin Ireland from 2008 to 2011. Caroline joined Mediconsult since 2011. She has continued to explore the medical planning field by working on a myriad of health facility buildings. Caroline is a registered architect of the Malaysian Board of Architects and she is committed to improve the quality of health care facilities in this region. Caroline actively promotes evidence-based design concepts in her projects, and is seeking to re-interpret these in the Asian context including Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar & Mongolia.
JENNIFER FUNG YIN PING
SENIOR PRINCIPAL - MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
Jennifer did her Bachelor of Applied Science and Post Graduate Studies in Biomedical Instrumentation in Melbourne, Australia. She started her career in Australia, working as a medical scientist in the Department of Respiratory Medicine. She returned to Malaysia in 1992 and gained further experiences working in and subsequently managing a Diagnostic Unit in private hospitals. Jennifer joined Mediconsult in October 2000. She leads a team of consultants (medical equipment planner and biomedical engineer) providing consultancy services to Clients in medical technology. Her responsibilities include medical equipment & maintenance planning, procurement assistance, equipment installation, testing and commissioning.
DR. PINGLING YEOH, PHD
SENIOR PRINCIPAL - HEALTH SYSTEMS & SERVICES
Pingling holds a PhD from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She also holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Leeds, UK. Pingling has over 30 years of experience in health sector. She has undertaken a wide ranging scope of work for programmes in developing countries and emerging economies. Pingling’s working experience includes, project identification and feasibility studies, project design, planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation. She has undertaken numerous assignments related to health system strengthening, public health, equipment planning, health facility functional planning, feasibility studies for investing in private health sector, hospital information system planning/ implementation in Asia and Africa.
YAW AY SHING
SENIOR PRINCIPAL - PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS
Yaw Ay Shing graduated with a degree in Pharmacy from National Taiwan University. His area of specialisation is in equipment planning and procurement for a range of healthcare facilities including university faculties and medical / scientific laboratories. He has over 25 years of experience in international consulting involved in the area of project appraisal, medical equipment planning, need assessment and procurement. He has extensive experience in projects supported by German Development Bank (KfW), Asian Development Bank, World Bank and others. His ability and passion for work has led to continuous development of Procurement & Logistics service in Asian region, especially in China.

Vina graduated with a BBA in Marketing & Finance from the University of Iowa, USA. A Senior Management level executive with more than 20 years’ experience and excellent organizational skills.
Vina is the Quality Management Representative for Mediconsult. She is responsible for the implementation and management of the ISO System to achieve the Business Objectives with the best efficiency in terms of quality, expenses and resources.
JULIANA BINTI BASHEER ALI
PRINCIPAL- MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
Juliana did her Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and pursued her Masters in Biomedical Engineering in Australia. She has more than 10 years’ experience in medical equipment planning and implementation.
Her involvement in hospital projects covers everything from medical planning to hospital construction, including management of equipment installation and testing and commissioning of medical equipment. She is currently involved in hospital projects in Malaysia and Singapore.
AR. HANI FAUZIANNA BINTI AHAMAD,LAM PAM
PRINCIPAL - HEALTH FACILITY PLANNING
Hani graduated with Diploma in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture with First Class Honours from UiTM, Shah Alam. She started her career at Arkitek MAA Sdn Bhd in 2003 and had been directly involved in various projects ranging from the government to the private healthcare facility buildings, MRT Line 2, defence and security installations, and residential. After over 15 years of experience as an Architect in MAA, she pursued her passion in healthcare and continued to apply the acquired healthcare knowledge by joining Mediconsult Sdn Bhd in 2019 as the Principal for Health Facility Planning. Hani is also a registered member of the Malaysian Board of Architects and Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM).
Due to complexity in designing hospital projects, she developed interest thus occasionally conducted classes and webinars specifically in the fire topic for the Architect’s Professional Part 3 Examination candidates. In 2020, she volunteered in PAM Emergency Team during the Covid-19 pandemic MCO, in response to the need of having the field hospitals.
AHMAD FAHRI BIN ABDUL KARIM

Graduated from UiTM Shah Alam with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Ahmad Fahri started his career in pharmaceutical and medical retail, trading and direct sales.
His passion for healthcare came in 2004 when he was accepted into a Management Trainee Programme by Mahkota Medical Centre in Melaka. Since then he has been involved in hospital related projects including research, feasibility studies and hospital management of private hospitals culminating in a 5-year experience of managing Pusat Perubatan Ar-Ridzuan, a private hospital in Ipoh, Perak.
JEYASEELAN VELAYUTHAM
VICE PRINCIPAL - MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
Jeyaseelan graduated from NTU Singapore and was working in elctronics industry in Singapore for 9 years. In 2002, he joined Mediconsult and has been in medical equipment consulting field since then.
Apart from Malaysia, he was also involved in hospital construction projects in Indonesia and Qatar. His involvement in the hospital construction projects are primarily in the implementation stage which includes services coordination, administration and management of equipment installation, testing and commissioning, project handover as well as hospital sustainability activities.

Dhritiman Das graduated from City University of New York, USA with a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Sathyabama University, India with a Bachelor of Technology in Biomedical Engineering. Das joined Mediconsult in 2017. Prior to that, he was attached to University of Puthisastra, Cambodia; Engineering World Health, USA/GE Foundation based in Cambodia & Ghana. His key expertise includes healthcare technology management, medical equipment planning & maintenance. He covers ASEAN & Central Asia projects in training on medical equipment operation and handling, pre-installation monitoring and M&E services planning.
